I am so glad it gave you some comfort. Moving is never fun. And isn’t it funny how we forget to follow the good suggestions we share with others? 🙂 Lord knows I am guilty of that. Wishing you as smooth a move as possible, my friend. Breathe. 😉

Really needed the reminder to breathe. I often urge others to do that when stressed, but seem to forget it for myself. 🙁 Also really like this line: “Alone time is healing. Isolation shuts the door on life.” Like you, I like my alone time a lot, but isolation brings loneliness which is debilitating emotionally. Thanks for sharing.

I’ll give you the whole cookie jar, Mitch! 😀 My little store isn’t that sophisticated. I just figure it’s more for fun and any knocking-around change. Zazzle handles everything (manufacturing, inventory, shipping, and customer service). All I get is a small earnings.

I moved to them from the Shopify platform because I just don’t have the time to handle all the other aspects. It’s a print-on-demand so I don’t have to keep any inventory. That being said, I do need to get off my duff and promote it more. 🙂

Personally, I never trusted any outside company to help promote any of my products. I had problems generating sales of the products I created, and I knew I had kind of a niche when it came to my products, and I couldn’t see anyone else figuring out how to reach potential buyers.

With that said, I spent time creating items, paying certain money to put them together, marketing them through my blogs and website, and some of my speaking engagements. At this point I’ve pretty much gotten rid of almost all of the backlog of stuff. It’s just me now; I had some personal reasons that removed me from trying to figure things out because I was tired; I know you can understand some of that.

I wish the best for you in using your new community; if you ever get rich, send me a cookie! 😀

Thanks, Mitch, for your feedback. It’s definitely appreciated. What hills are you talking about? 😀 You mean the ones where I left a lung or two over all these years? 😉

Personally, I would dive straight in! A really great hook would be a “cold open”: a particularly grueling walk up one of those infamous hills. That would suck in readers, keep them engaged and give them a chance to appreciate your brand of wit and wisdom. 🙂

I hope you have fun writing your book!

Cheers,

Mitch

On top of that, they are goals that one can work on every single day. Especially with all the incoming chaos. Thank you!

Dodge dinosaurs… 😀 I am happy to “carry” you along on my 60-Mile stroll, Mitch. 🙂 It’s amazing what we can do. Trust me, I never thought I’d still be doing this 20+ years later. Take care, my friend, and keep on trekking.

When I was a youngster, I did the annual Walk-a-thon. Back then, it was 20 miles and we had to dodge dinosaurs, but it was fun! Today, I couldn’t make that trek if I tried. I do live at the bottom of a steep hill, so I get me workout on nice days.

Cheers,

Mitch
