Raining Down on Life

Fall 2013

Fall 2013

I sit at my desk and watch the leaves raining down outside my office window.

What once was green turned vibrant red and gold, and now leap to the ground in brown surrender.

So many changes in so little time.

And doesn’t life seem that way at times?

Choosing Life

We enter life’s adventures more than a little green.

We embrace what life has to offer and explode with vibrancy and a world colored by our experiences.

And when the time has come to surrender to life’s bigger plan, we have a decision to make.

We can surrender to what we view as the inevitable – or – welcome the rebirth of green, red and gold.

We can rake aside what no longer works and nourish our soul in restoring life.

The choice is ours.

Choose life or surrender.

My meditation practice advocates surrender. Surrender to the Supreme and the world becomes an easier place to live. Surrender ego and your begin putting people and their collective welfare first. Surrender the need for possessions and you find it easier to share your wealth with those who have none.

Surrender is a pretty cool thing. 🙂 Love your post, Cathy. It’s today’s bright spot.
